Patrick H.Caldwell was born 1839, and died 18 April 1863 in Hurricane Bridge, West Virginia.1

He enlisted in Company B, 13th Regiment, West Virginia* Infantry on 8 October 1862, from Point Pleasant, Mason County, West Virginia. He was promoted to Corporal 1 November 1862. He was 5 feet 7 inches tall, gray eyes, brown hair, and light complexion. He died of typhoid fever in a hospital at Hurricane Bridge, Virginia.

* The regiment was originally organized as the 13th Virginia Infantry; later changed to West Virginia.
