FIRST GENERATION:

1.  Levi CASEY was born about 1821 in VA.  He died on January 12, 1894 in Letart, WV.   He is listed in the 1850 census as head of household, age 29, occupation: laborer.

Levi Casey is listed on the 1880 WV census for Putnam Co. as the father of Mat Casey.  Also indicated that his age is 70 and he is a widower.

Sallie V. SMALL was born about 1828 in VA.  Levi CASEY and Sallie V. SMALL had the following children:

    2   i.  Edmund CASEY1 was born about 1840.
    3   ii. Virginia CASEY1 was born about 1842.
    4   iii.    Elisha CASEY1 was born about 1844.
    5   iv. Harriet CASEY1 was born about 1846.
  +6  v.  Madison CASEY (born about 1846).
    7   vi. Kelsey CASEY1 was born on August 15, 1862 in Mason Co., VA.  He died on February 10, 1929 in Henderson, WV.
            He was a Mate on River Steamer.
    8   vii.    John CASEY1 was born on January 2, 1858 in Ironton, OH.  He died on March 15, 1939 in Henderson, WV.  He was
            a Riverman.
 

SECOND GENERATION:

Madison CASEY was born about 1846 in Putnam Co., WV.  Madison Casey is listed in the 1890 Records of Union Soldiers of West Virginia:

Private, Company C,  13th WV Inf.  He served from April 14, 1864 to June 23, 1865.  Total service was 1 year, 2 months, and 9 days.  His post office address was listed as Henderson, WV.  Comments on the 1890 record documented that he suffered from rheumatism.

He was married to Clarissa (Clara) Ashland FROST (daughter of Harrison FROST and Hannah S. BUSH) on June 11, 1874 in Gallia Co., Ohio.  Marriage Reference: Gallia County Marriage Records, Volume 3, page 446.  Clarissa (Clara) Ashland FROST1 was born on June 21, 1855 in Ashland, KY.  She died on May 28, 1935 in Henderson, WV.  She was a Housewife.  Madison CASEY and Clarissa (Clara) Ashland FROST had the following children:

      9  i.  Virginia B. (Jennie Bell) CASEY (born on June 17, 1872).
    10 ii. Sallie V. CASEY (born on October 15, 1874).
    11  iii.    Sarah CASEY1 was born about 1875.
    12  iv. Edna CASEY1 was born about 1877.
    13  v.  Lena CASEY1 was born about 1878.
    14  vi. Edward CASEY1 was born on March 10, 1879 in Mason Co., WV.
    15  vii.    Elisha CASEY1 was born about June 1887 in Clendenin District, Mason Co., WV.  He died on September 13, 1888 in
            Clendenin District, Mason Co., WV.
    16  viii.   Loney CASEY1 was born on May 30, 1889 in Clendenin Dist., Mason Co., WV.
    17  ix. -- - CASEY1 was born in August 1894 in Henderson District, Mason Co., WV.
 

THIRD GENERATION:

9.  Virginia B. (Jennie Bell) CASEY was born on June 17, 1872 in Mason Co., WV.  She died on October 3, 1924 in Henderson, WV.

She was married to William BIRCHFIELD on June 19, 1891 in Gallia Co., Ohio.

10.  Sallie V. CASEY was born on October 15, 1874 in Mason Co., WV.  She died on October 9, 1926 in Henderson, WV.

She was married to Charles F. GIBSON on January 27, 1894 in Gallia Co., Ohio.
