Jacob Asbury Casto was born in 1847 in Jackson County, West Virginia, the son of William & Ann Deweese Casto.  He was first a stone mason and brick layer, and later served as Justice of the Peace and Mayor of Leon.  He married Harriet Bailey, born 1855, the daughter of David & Christena Inphelp Bailey.  Jacob died in 1912 in Leon, Mason County, West Virginia.  Harried died in 1936 in Michigan.  Both are buried in Leon Cemetery.
