Born June 2, 1848, in Letart Falls, Meigs Co., OH, the son of Isaac (1816-1875) & Elizabeth Roush Glenn (1827-1916).
Died Feb. 8, 1916, in Putnam Co., WV, and is buried Mt. Zion Cemetery, Frazier's Bottom, Hannan Dist., Mason Co.,WV.

Mary Jane Chapman Glenn was born ca. March 1850, and died December 22, 1916.  She is also buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mason Co., WV.

George E. Glenn (the son) married Minnie Myrtle Holley (Aug. 12, 1878-Feb. 1970).  George E. and Minnie Myrtle Holley Glenn are also buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mason Co., WV.

OBITUARY:

GEORGE E. GLEN, DEAD

On February 8th, 1916, about 10 o'clock A.M. the people of Upland were shocked by the sad news flashing over the telephone wires, that Mr. George Glen had fell dead, in the woods on W.H. Rowsey's farm, about a quarter of a mile from his home.  Mr. Glen and his grandson, Andrew, went out that morning to cut some fire wood, he left the house joking and laughing with his family, and after reaching the woods and working for awhile he said to his grandson, that he was feeling bad and sat down, and in a few moments he was dead.  The boy notified the neighbors and in a few minutes there were several by his side.  He was taken to his home and on the 10th of February he was buried in the Mt. Zion cemetery, by the side of ihs father and two sisters.  Mr. Glen was 68 years, 9 months and 24 days old and was a soldier and pensioner.  He leaves to mourn his untimely death an aged mother, 87 years old, his wife, one son, three brothers and one sister.

Gods will be done and not ours.  We all hope to meet our neighbor in that better world where sickness and sorrows never come.
