Oscar Newton Greer was born Feb. 25, 1842, the son of John (Major Jack) Greer II & Miriam Flowers.  He Married Malinda McDermitt, born Feb. 11, 1843, daughter of Calvin & Mahala Peck McDermitt. Oscar died on June 11, 1928, and Malinda died Jan. 11, 1918.  Both are buried in Greer Cemetery, Mason County, West Virginia.  (This information courtesy of Don Greene).
