I have possession of a copy of his Volunteer Enlistment Paper. He enlisted 15 August 1862 at the age of 25. I also have possession of a copy of his Certificate of Disability for Discharge which states he had consumption and was unfit for reenlistment. He was discharged from U.S. Gen. Hospital Gallipolis, Ohio, on 16 March 1865. I have a copy of the Marcus Dice Noble Family of Mason County written (in 1980) by Francis McCullough (deceased). My copy was received from Ivan McCullough a brother of Francis. Considerable information has been added by Calvin R. McDaniel since receiving a copy in 1997.
