Levi Searles was born about 1846 to John & Aurilla (Grover) Searles. He married Christina DeVault Nov 3., 1866, in Vinton County, Ohio. Levi died in 1934 in Marion Co., Ohio, and Christina died in 1922 in Gallia Co. Ohio.
Levi was the brother of Gideon W. Searles, who also was a member of Co. H, 13th WVI.
