William was born August 6, 1830, the son of William & Sarah Pruitt See.  He was a farmer.  He married Margaret Sayre,  born Nov. 24, 1834, daughter of Abel &Ruth Parsons Sayre, on April 3, 1856, in Jackson Co., WV.

    William died on August 4, 1910, and Margaret died on Sept. 29, 1903.  Both are buried in See Cemetery, Cologne Dist., Mason County, West Virginia.
